The Naperville Senior Center Adult Day Services teamed up with the American Cancer Society for a mini relay for life around their very own track.
Family and friends joined the walk, raising just over $1,900 for cancer research.
“It gives us all a chance to step back and remember those that we’ve lost and realize that life goes on and if we can contribute, than the research dollars will go towards a cure at some point, it’s not an if it’s a when,” said Pam Cooper, Executive Director of Naperville Senior Center.
The group ended the event with a Luminary Ceremony to remember those who have lost their battle to cancer.
