Members of the Rotary Club of Naperville are reaching out to help those in Moore, Oklahoma.
At the group’s latest meeting, members collected cash and checks for the American Red Cross, totaling more than $2,500.
Rotarian Alma Jones knows first hand the importance of this assistance, as she spent several years living in Edmond, Oklahoma, a city just outside of Moore.
The Rotary Club of Moore is in the process of establishing a designated fund for tax-deductible contributions.
And it’s not just those with two legs that are lending a helping hand. The four-legged ministers from Addison, Illinois are in Oklahoma offering a paw of comfort. The dogs are known for supporting victims after tragedies like the Newtown, Connecticut shooting and the Boston Marathon bombings.
