The Presidential candidates went head to head in another debate, and this one was a fiery encounter. The North Central College Political Science Department hosted a debate watch party at Old Main. The town hall style showdown didn’t disappoint.
Community members, students, and professors noticed the more feisty debate. They reacted loudly when the President and Governor got face to face in a few heated encounters.
About thirty-five people attended the event. Most of the viewers in the room were sitting on their phones or iPads. The voters in the younger generations are more interested in seeing what people in their social network have to say. Social networking is playing an increasingly important role in the election, and it could sway voters.
With election day just around the corner the candidates are battling to get their points across to the public and the last debate is sure to bring even more zingers.
