After 33 years, Peggy Frank, President and CEO of Naper Settlement and the Naperville Heritage Society has announced her retirement.
Frank started working with the Heritage Society in 1979 as a curator.
“I found a home in Naperville through Naper Settlement and the Naperville Heritage Society that I had never anticipated or expected,” said Frank. “It has provided me an opportunity to contribute to this town in what I hope is a lasting legacy.”
She has helped preserve Naperville’s history by restoring buildings and landmarks, sharing residents stories and personal artifacts, and making the Settlement a place to enjoy living history.
Upon retirement, Frank plans to spend more time with her family, but will still be involved with the Heritage Society, in the role of President Emeritus.
Frank will officially step down in January 2013. Until then, she will help the Settlement and Heritage Society find her replacement.
