A well-known politician stopped by Anderson’s Bookshop to meet with fans of his newest novel.
Former Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich spoke to a crowd of more than 70.
He and his wife Callista then both signed copies their latest books.
Callista wrote and co-illustrated “Land of the Pilgrim’s Pride”, a children’s book about Ellis the elephant who journeys through America’s 13 colonies.
“I love it!” said Rory Miles. “I think it’s a really good book.”
Meanwhile newt co-wrote “Victory at Yorktown,” a historical narrative about Washington’s final siege against the British in 1781 during the american revolutionary war.
“I love Newt Gingrinch as far as his writings and that,” said Wendell Miles. “I think he’s an excellent writer and historian.”
Newt Gingrich has now authored and co-authored a number of fiction novels.
Earlier in the week, a popular musician also signed books for fans.
Fall Out Boy’s founder and bassist Pete Wentz can now add another book to his long list of accomplishments.
Gray is the second book written by the rock star.
The story follows a musician who rises to fame and how he deals with the dark side of it.
Pete said the project took years to complete.
Fans of all ages packed into Anderson’s.
The singer signed 300 books.
