The Planning and Zoning Commission has voted to delay their recommendation for the development of a new nursing home.
The decision came after about 40 residents from Century Farms came out to voice concerns over the proposed development.
The nursing home, Harbor Chase of Naperville, would be a 93,000 square foot facility at the northwest corner of Mill Street and Commons Street.
The development would require an annexation of the land by the City of Naperville as well as a few variances to the landscaping and lighting around the site.
Area residents shared their worries about possible traffic problems, noise concerns and questions about zoning.
Century Farms Neighborhood Association President Fran Bixler then asked the commission to continue the case for a month so homeowners could meet with the developer to get their concerns addressed.
This case will be back in front of the commission on January 22.
