The Planning and Zoning Commission recently held a meeting.
The commissioners heard a unique petition for a new development on Ferry Road.
Iron Gate Motor Condos, Inc. requested a preliminary PUD to begin developing condos for your car.
The development is aimed at owners of high-end vehicles that want a high-end home for their cars.
The condos can be customized to include a loft, bar, and kitchenette.
“This offers people a chance to meet with other people who share their hobby and that’s what differentiates this product,” said Tom Burgess, President of Iron Gate Motor Condos, Inc.
The commission also started discussing amending the zoning code to restrict where medical marijuana facilities can locate within the city.
The commissioners voiced their concerns with treating medical marijuana dispensaries like pharmacies and wanted to make sure a public hearing would be required before they could be built.
The public hearing was left open and the amendments will be reworked.
Plan Commission’s next meeting is November 20.
