At their latest meeting it was revealed that construction on the highly anticipated Activity Center was running behind schedule.
But thanks to some wiggle room pre-built into the construction timeline, along with our recent dry spell, the center is now back on track for an on-time completion.
The 80,000 square foot facility, which has been 9 years in the making, had its groundbreaking back in April and is expected to be finished next year.
“We’ve got the walls up, next is the structural steel, then the roof. Our goal is to be under the roof by the Winter season then be open by the Fall 2016 Program season, as of right now were doing great, said Director of Planning, Eric Shutes.
Once finished the center will provide a space for the WDSRA, child care, and an indoor running track.
