The nominations are in, and a local theater has come out on top.
Aurora’s Paramount Theater has scored the highest number of Jeff Award nominations in the Chicagoland area for the 2015-2016 theater season.
In all, the theater racked up 14 nominations: seven for “West Side Story,” including nods for best production, director and choreography; four for “Oklahoma,” also nominated for best production and choreography; two for “Hairspray;” and one for “A Christmas Story: The Musical.”
All of the nominations are for shows from the theater’s Broadway series, which they launched just five years ago.
Winners will be announced on October 17th. For a full list of nominees, check out the Jeff Awards website: jeffawards.org.
