North Central President Troy Hammond as well as other members of the Board of Trustees gathered on campus to break ground on their new Science Center, which is the essential cornerstone of the college’s Brilliant Future Campaign.
The facility will transform the experience for their students and serve as a valuable resource for all academic departments while providing educational opportunities in STEM fields.
“This is fantastic, approximately a 125,000 sq. foot facility that will be open for occupancy for the fall of 2017,” said Hammond.
Construction jobs for local and regional businesses will be created and the project will have long-term economic benefits for the college’s stability in the community.
Construction on the project begins this summer.
