The North Central College’s new school year has officially begun.
Crews of athletes, students, faculty, and staff recently helped move first-year and transfer students into their new homes on campus.
The move-in was the start to a four-day welcome to the college before starting classes, including a torch light parade, pep rally, and a formal welcome from the president at the annual convocation.
“We’re delighted you’re here,” said North Central College President Troy Hammond. “It is an honor to welcome my first new class since I began my tenure on January 1, of this year.”
The class of 2017 is made up of 535 students from 21 states and 20 countries, as far away as Vietnam.
