The last day of 2014 was filled with fun from dawn to dusk, starting at the DuPage Children’s Museum.
There, everyone got it poppin’ in celebration of the New Year with the 13th annual Bubble Bash.
Little ones were invited to dawn their capes and masks for a super-powered New Year’s Eve celebration. They made crafts, played games and listened to music by Mr. Dave and The Superhero Sidekicks.
“We’re having a good time, everyone’s having a lot of fun. There are a lot of activities for them to do, the music was great, all the crafts and games and just the usual stuff. We’ve been here a few times before and they just love coming here,” said P.J. Klacko, visitor to Bubble Bash.
“We were trying to make our superheroes and we got these light up rings,” said Owen Mack, another visitor to Bubble Bash.
The day finished off with a countdown to noon by Naperville’s own superhero, Mayor Pradel.
Later, tunes from the Millennium Carillon helped ring in the New Year a little early with a kid-friendly countdown to 6 p.m.
“It’s great timing for us because the kids usually go to bed about 7:30, so we still get to celebrate the New Year, and then enjoy the time outside in Naperville,” said Kimberly Bajlovic.
After warming up with some hot chocolate, everyone was ready to head to Rotary Hill for one last time in 2014.
