The Naperville Township will be welcoming a new trustee to their board.
The township appointed Carl Schultz to fill the vacancy on the board of trustees left by Janice Anderson.
Anderson resigned following her election to the DuPage County Board in November. Schultz will fill the remainder of her term, set to expire in May.
“I think a new set of eyes on the issues that are there,” said Schultz, “to look forward to really building some things with the community so that the new board, once elected in the spring, will be able to just take off running because everything will be set out for them.”
In the past, Schultz has served on the Forest Preserve District of DuPage County’s Board of Commissioners.
Schultz was running for Highway Commissioner of the Naperville Township, but withdrew his candidacy before being appointed to the position.
