Just in time for summer, the Chicago suburbs will have a new outdoor concert venue closer to Naperville. We got a sneak-peek at the River Edge Park Music Garden that soon to open in Aurora.
The park features state-of-the-art acoustics, green room, concessions, 2,500 seats in front of the stage, plus another 8,000 for general admission and a V.I.P. Sky Deck.
“The opening of River Edge Park Music Garden ushers in a new and exciting era of culture, music and celebration for Aurora that will be enjoyed by families across the entire Chicago region,” said Aurora Mayor, Thomas Weisner. “This world-class facility is destined to become a source of community pride, and will serve as an economic catalyst for the future growth of downtown Aurora for years.”
The site will be open for public tours June 3rd through June 6th and will hold its first official concert, the 17th annual “Blues On the Fox,” on June 14th and 15th.
Other concerts include Loretta Lynn and Randy Travis, the Pink Floyd Experience, Peter Frampton, and American English.
