The Naperville Marathon is no more.
After four years running, it was decided that the full-length marathon be cut out of the race weekend.
Low participation, combined with the all-day road closures needed for the length of the event contributed to its cancelation.
In its place, the new Healthy Driven 5K run and walk will be added to the lineup, allowing runners of all abilities to participate during the weekend.
The popular Naperville Half-Marathon and Kids Marathon will continue, and all three events are expected to draw a crowd of over 6,000 participants.
Registration for all events will open in January.
