At the Naperville Public Library’s latest board meeting, the board voted and approved Julie Rothenfluh as the organization’s new Executive Director.
Rothenfluh had been serving as the Interim Executive Director, filling the void left by the resignation of John Spears back in July.
She has been working for the library for more than 15 years and is excited for her newest role.
“This is something I really want to do,” said Rothenfluh. “I care about this organization and the people who work here and the community we serve. I really think it’s an exciting time to have this opportunity.”
The new Executive Director says she wants to help the library partner with the community to develop a strategic plan to improve its services to patrons.
She’d also like to see the library expand its Sunday evening hours, possibly moving closing time from 5pm to 9pm.
