School District 203 has reached a new teachers union contract.
At their latest meeting, the school board unanimously approved of a three-year agreement with the Naperville Unit Education Association.
The contract calls for a roughly 2% increase each year for the next three years for all the district’s 1,300 teachers.
Other key components: phasing out the boost pay for retiring teachers by 2015, eliminating the early retirement option, and implementing a new professional development program called Career 203 for educators with a master’s degree.
