Route 59 is a street bustling with activity, something new businesses will be counting on.
“Naperville Crossings is really just a very pedestrian friendly, warm and welcoming commercial center. Its anchored by the AMC Theaters, but new to the Naperville Crossings is Elly’s Pancake House, they’re going in where you may remember MiMi’s Café,” said President of the Naperville Development Partnership, Christine Jeffries.
Next door to Elly’s will be Fresh Market, a European-style grocery store anticipated to open in 2017.
A few doors down, Ten Friends Blow Dry and Style House is set to open November 18, specializing in blowouts and styling parties.
“It’s a new concept and it’s based on bringing ten of your friends and go get your hair done together, so it’s a fun new concept,” added Jeffries.
Amazing Lash Studio will also be in this building, offering eyelash extensions beginning in January.
And a sweet treat is coming to town in mid December.
“Andy’s is under construction on 95th street and Andy’s Frozen Custard is a huge favorite with a lot of families,” said Jeffries.
Going north on Route 59, near Fox Valley Mall –
“You probably saw the old bank building was torn down at Naper West Shopping Center, and that’s going to be a Raising Cane’s, and that’s a Louisiana based chicken fast-casual type of dining experience,” said Jeffries.
There are also a few new businesses coming to downtown Naperville this month, outside of Water Street.
“Very soon we’re going to have a new olive oil, spirits, wine shop called Vom Fass, opening up on Washington,” said Katie Wood, Executive Director of the Downtown Naperville Alliance.
Also expected to open by the end of November, Everdine’s Grilled Cheese Company located on Jefferson Avenue.
Naperville News 17’s Evan Summers reports.
