New restaurants, retail stores, a banquet hall and even a place to stay will be in town when the Water Street District opens it’s doors in downtown Naperville.
“We have the exciting new Water Street district and that’s the Hotel Indigo at the Naperville Riverwalk. It’s already booking rooms starting in October and should be fully up by the time we have the Naperville Marathon coming to town,” said Katie Wood Executive Director of the Downtown Naperville Alliance.
In addition to the hotel indigo, many restaurants and stores are making their way to the new development.
“We’re going to have the Plank Restaurant and Bar, the Blue Sushi Sake Grill, there’s about six or seven restaurants lined up including a really cool wine bar called ’64: A Wine Bar’ that’s a really neat concept,” said Wood.
Over on Jefferson another new concept – “The Craftsmen by Two Brothers”.
“Which is a very exciting new offering. 16 West Jefferson, they’ve been doing a lot of work internally to get that ready and that will be both a coffee bar, a restaurant a lot of neat things inside there,” Wood said.
Over in Naperville Crossings on the city’s south side, a new Fresh Market and Ellie’s Pancake House are scheduled to open this fall.
“The story is out how can you say it any better I mean we’re a vibrant town with so many wonderful amenities not only downtown but throughout Naperville. People realize we have all the big city amenities with a small town feel,” said Katie Wood.
And after the first of the year, Travelin’ Tots and Southern Tide will open in the Water Street District.
