Anderson’s Bookshop owner Becky Anderson was recently presented with the ‘My Fair Lady Award’ during a ceremony at Center Stage Theater.
“I just want to thank each and every one of you in this room because I have learned something from all of you. And I continue to learn from you every single day. You’ve inspired me, you’ve mentored me, you’ve encouraged me and you educate me each and every day,” said Anderson.
The Naperville native was chosen to be the fifth recipient of the award thanks to her significant contributions to the community.
In addition to the three bookshops she owns, Anderson serves as a member of City Council, and is a key promoter of IndieBound Naperville – urging folks to shop local and support small businesses.
Fair Lady Productions began the awards back in 2012, when NCTV17’s very own Liz Spencer became the first recipient.
Naperville News 17’s Kim Pirc reports.
