Naperville students unveiled their artistic touch on a local parking structure. Naperville North and Waubonsie Valley students were recently recognized for their paintings in the Van Buren parking garage. Students partnered with KidsMatter and local artist Timm Etters to create wayfinding murals. These murals are the 37th piece of the Naperville Century Walk.
“It’s kinda like a greatest hits album of all the high schools. It’s like bringing all those murals into one place,” said Etters, owner of Timm Etters Studio Inc, “that’s kinda a cool thing for me.”
Each Naperville school will complete a floor of the parking structure and will choose a different theme that relates to KidsMatter values.
Naperville Central Students finished their mural last summer, making this three of the five floors completed. Work on the last two wayfinder murals are set to start next summer, pending funding.
