Neuqua Valley students have a vision for Fox Valley Mall.
As part of a semester long project – Vision 60504 – students from all District 204 high schools created a plan for the vacant spots at Fox Valley Mall.
The winning team, made up of Mitchell Austell, Sarah Daneliak, Marisa Egan, Ally Edmond, Abby Kalsto and Emily Seddon of Neuqua Valley High School recommended adding shops LUSH, and Urban Outfitters and new dining venues like Scotty’s Brewhouse.
Their plan stood out because of their push to create community destinations like an ice rink and drive-in movie theater, and amenities like a shopper loyalty program.
This is the second year for the project, which previously filled the vacancies at Naperville Crossings and is a collaborative effort between the city of Aurora, District 204 and the Indian Prairie Educational Foundation.
Each winner received a $100 Fox Valley gift card.
