A local sandwich shop is turning a favorite dish into donations.
All month long at Which Wich on 75th Street, patrons can come in and donate a peanut butter and jelly sandwich to a local charity.
Guests can choose to buy a PB&J, or make a monetary donation that goes to the Which Wich Cares Foundation.
“We chose peanut butter and jelly because it’s something people remember from their childhood and it’s as much about giving a meal as it is about spreading a little love as well,” said Manager, Chris Danner.
Already this April, the 75th Street store has donated 200 sandwiches to DuPage PADs, and is hoping to donate at least 100 sandwiches to Wayside Cross later in the month.
Project PB&J started as a way for the company to give back locally and around the world.
