DuPage Fights Opioid Epidemic
Over the next four years the DuPage County Health Department will receive $1.5 million in federal funding to help fight the opioid epidemic. The funds are part of the First Responders – Comprehensive Addiction and Recovery Act grant and will go toward emergency training and medication like Narcan, to combat an opioid overdose. So far this year the DuPage Narcan Program has saved 105 lives.
Robbers Apprehended
Just after 3 a.m. on Tuesday morning the Naperville Police Department, with the assistance of their K9 Rocco, apprehended two individuals who had allegedly robbed a pharmacy near Route 59 and 83rd Street. Officers arrived on the scene to find the front glass door smashed and two suspects fleeing, wearing all black. Both subjects were charged with one count of Burglary, a Class 2 Felony.
Dancing with the Celebrities
Last night things got groovy at Meson Sabika for the Community Career Center’s annual Dancing with the Celebrities fundraiser. While all the couples danced their hearts out, the team of Bianca Morin and Luke Malczewski won the Judges’ Choice award. And the other big winners of the evening were Dean Washington and his partner Paulina Struk, who came away as the Grand Champions.
Eola Bowl

Both teams look to keep their playoff hopes alive with a victory. In 2015 Metea Valley beat Waubonsie for the first time ever, but the Warriors got revenge last season.
