Dancing With The Celebrities:
Last night local celebrities took to the dance floor for the Community Career Center’s “Dancing with the Celebrities” fundraiser. There were seven couples in all lighting up the dance floor at Meson Sabika with dances ranging in style from hip-hop to the cha cha. In the end, the judges ruled that Joe Chura and his partner Brianna Miller had the winning moves – and the time of their lives…while the audience split their votes in a tie between Joe and Brianna and Amber Sweda and her partner Luke Malczewski as top dancers. Proceeds from the event will be used by the Community Career Center to help folks build resumes, practice interview skills, and find employment.
High School Golf:
With the Dupage Valley Conference golf tournament less than a week away, Naperville North hosted Naperville Central at Springbrook to pick up some late season conference championship points. Naperville Central senior Tyler Schettek shot an even par 36 for the best score of the day, leading the RedHawks to victory by the slimmest of margins, 159 to 160. Both the boys and girls DVC Championships will be held next Tuesday.
