Child Pornography Charges:

A Naperville man has been arrested and charged with three counts of child pornography. Victor H. Linares was arrested after a joint investigation conducted by the Naperville Police Department and investigators from Will County State’s Attorney James Glasgow’s Crimes Against Children Unit. The team executed a search warrant on Tuesday at the 2200 block of Salisbury Drive, to look into the possession and distribution of child pornography. The 44-year-old was taken to the Will County Jail and is being held on a $150,000 bond.

Odenkirk Coming To Naperville:

A couple of big names are headed to town thanks to Anderson’s Bookshop. Naperville native Bob Odenkirk will be joining Monty Python’s Eric Idle when he takes the stage at Pfeiffer Hall on October 6. Odenkirk, an actor and producer known for his roles in Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul among others, will play moderator for Idle who is discussing his new book, Always Look on the Bright Side of Life.

Busy Philipps Appearance:

Then on October 18, actress Busy Philipps will be at Pfeiffer Hall to promote her new book, This Will Only Hurt a Little. Philipps is known for her roles in shows like Dawson’s Creek and Cougar Town. Her memoir highlights both her struggles in life and how she’s overcome those setbacks with humor and determination. Free Stargazing:

You can get a closer look at the stars tonight thanks to the Naperville Astronomical Association. They’ll have telescopes out on the Riverwalk tonight near the Dandelion Fountain from 7:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., to give folks a free, up close view of the moon, Mars and Saturn.

Tiger Classic Girls Volleyball Tournament:

The Tiger Classic Girls Volleyball Tournament tipped off last night at Wheaton Warrenville South and Wheaton North. Benet Academy advanced to the championship bracket with two set wins over Libertyville and Naperville Central. Neuqua Valley also advanced with a pair of three set wins over IC Catholic and Plainfield North. Waubonsie Valley also advanced into the championship bracket, which continues Friday.
