Cell Tower Approved
In a 4-3 vote, the Planning and Zoning Commission gave a positive recommendation for the construction of a 135-foot Verizon cell tower on the Springbrook Golf Course, near the Springbrook Prairie Forest Preserve and Naper Aero Estates. Though the tower would not be tall enough to require lighting, its proximity to the airport means that it would be lit for pilot safety. The tower was opposed by the Forest Preserve District of DuPage County, who worry the tower would hurt the aesthetic of Springbrook Prairie and that the lit tower would cause migratory bird strikes, killing birds that use the prairie.

High School Golf
Defending DVC champions, Neuqua Valley boys golf met up with Naperville North yesterday at Naperbrook golf course. Naperville North was helped by strong performances from their three, four, and five golfers to get within striking distance.
