Rock the Hill
Add another outdoor concert to your list because the Naperville Park District has a new event for the summer. “Rock the Hill” will feature local musical talent at Rotary Hill for an evening full of favorite rock and roll tunes and fun for the whole family. Catch local band OMT on Friday August 3 at 7 p.m. and make sure to bring your own blankets and lawn chairs for the free enjoyment.
Riverwalk Duck Race
And don’t forget that ducks for this year’s Riverwalk Duck Race are still available. You can adopt a duck starting at just $5, with proceeds benefitting the Naperville Riverwalk Foundation and if your duck is one of the first three to pass the finish line, you’ll win a cash prize. New this year will be jumbo sponsored ducks for $100 each. Those can be decorated for a Creative Costume Contest that will be judged by popularity the day of the race on Wednesday, August 15.
U11 Water Polo
Cress Creek Country Club was home to the U11 Naperville Suburban Water Polo Championship game yesterday afternoon. The Saybrook Sharks, the 2017 champions, were back to defend their crown against the Rebels of Cress Creek Country Club. It was a defensive battle for much of the first half as Saybrook held an early lead. Cress Creek scored the next several goals, taking a 4-1 lead into the fourth quarter. Saybrook scored twice to cut the lead to 4-3, but the Rebels added a late goal to seal the victory. Cress Creek Country Club is the city champion for U11. The U14 girls and U14 coed championships will be held Wednesday night at Naperville North.
