Five Rescued from DuPage River in Naperville
Two rescue efforts on the DuPage River occurred on Sunday caused by dangerously high water levels. In the first incident a man and his two children were overturned in kayaks. The man called 911 and 21 rescue personnel responded to the scene. All three were pulled safely from the water. Hours later, two teenagers had their raft overturned on the river and were yelling for help near 95th Street and Knoch Knolls Road. They were also assisted to safety by rescue personnel. The Naperville Fire Department would like to caution residents to stay off the river during times of high water levels.
