New Drone Park
Charge your batteries and start your engines, as Naperville is planning to add a new drone-flying zone in Brush Hill Park. The Naperville Park District is allotting a 300×175 foot area in the western section of the park specifically for drone users. Proper FAA certification is required to use the drone-flying zone, which will be marked by four corner posts. Nearby homeowners will be notified by the park district about this new addition coming October 1, which will also include a 50-foot buffer zone between the park and the neighborhoods.
Olive Tree Arrives at Medici
A future Naperville restaurant got a very interesting delivery. An olive tree made the final leg of its journey from Florida to Midici Pizzeria in Water Street this morning. The tree will sit in the middle of the restaurant with tables surrounding it and will receive artificial sunlight from special lamps. Midici Pizzeria is scheduled to hold a grand opening and ribbon cutting on July 12.
Fine Arts Fair
