Riverwalk Survey Results:
Results of the Naperville Riverwalk Survey are in! With over 1500 residents and visitors responding, covered bridges and the pathway, the Dandelion Fountain and Centennial Beach were ranked as the most important parts of the Riverwalk experience. When looking at improvements to be made, extending the Riverwalk to the empty lot on Washington Street ranked number one, while the preservation and maintenance of the Carillon and Moser Tower, which was recently estimated to cost $3.8 million, came in last. North Central Commencement:
Tomorrow North Central College will hold their 152nd commencement ceremony, celebrating those who have earned both bachelors and masters degrees. North Central alumnus Dennis Gage, a entrepreneur, scientist and host of the TV show “My Classic Car” will be giving the commencement address. The entire ceremony will be broadcast live at 10 a.m. on Channel 17 and at NCTV17.com.
Fair Lady Awards:
Last night was the sixth annual Fair Lady Awards, hosted at Center Stage Theater by Fair Lady Productions Inc. This year’s honoree was Executive Director of KidsMatter, IdaLynn Wenhold, chosen for the significant contributions to the community and improving the lives of local youth. The night also featured special performances and songs.
NSW Awards Show:
Now that the high school sports season has come to an end, it’s time to wrap up Season 10 of Naperville Sports Weekly with the NSW Awards Show. Sunday night at 6:30, tune in to see the nominees and winners for Male Athlete of the Year, Female Athlete of the Year, Team of the Year and the Top 10 plays of the season.
