Suspect Sought:

Naperville Crime Stoppers are offering up to a $1,000 reward for help locating this individual, responsible for the robbery of the Walgreens on Raymond Drive in Naperville. On April 12th just after 9:30 in the morning, the suspect took all the cash from the cash register and left in an unknown vehicle. He is described as a white male, 20 to 30 years old, possibly with a mustache, wearing a black hoodie and blue jeans. Call Crime Stoppers at 630-420-6006 if you have any information.

Construction Alert:

The Illinois Department of Transportation will begin work next week on the culvert wall along Ogden Avenue over Cress Creek. Replacement of the wall will require the closure of the curb lane of eastbound Ogden between Royal St. George and Benedetti drives, from 6:30 a.m. until 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. The work should be completed in June.

Also next week – expect daily lane closures on both 75th Street and Book Road, as DuPage County starts improvements at that intersection, including the extension of the existing left turn lanes on 75th Street, the addition of a southbound right turn lane on Book Road and a left turn only arrow. That work should be done in mid-July.

Disney Speaker:

Author and international consultant Doug Lipp gave a dynamic presentation this morning at the Community Christian Church, sharing tips on how to build a successful work culture and stronger business. His book, Disney U shares some of the Disney corporation’s techniques, like building trust, training, and empowerment into the workplace. The presentation was part of the speaker series held by the Naperville Area Chamber of Commerce.

Benet Boys Tennis:

Benet Academy boys tennis made the trip to Downers Grove North for a non-conference meet yesterday afternoon. The Redwings doubles teams did not have a successful day as the Trojans group went 4-0 in doubles matches, capped off by a three set victory from number one doubles pairing of Parker Holyn and Sravan Lingareddygari defeating Benet’s Teddy Evans and Phil Piscopo. Benet had much more success in singles, sweeping all three matches, including a 6-3, 6-4 victory for number two singles player Danny McGuigan.
