Yesterday shortly after 6 p.m., four black male subjects in their late teens to early 20’s entered Costello Jewelry on Jefferson Avenue and asked to see a watch. Once displayed, one of the subjects grabbed the watch and all fled the store on foot. No weapon was displayed and there were no injuries. Eyewitnesses say when fleeing the scene one of the subjects bumped into the fire alarm, setting it off. There is no threat to the public at this time. The Naperville Police Department is still investigating. If you have any information on the incident please call 9-1-1.
No Bias Workshop
Last night, Unity Partnership hosted a No Bias Non Violence program in Pfeiffer Hall at North Central College. The community was invited to discuss diversity, privilege, and bias, in recognition of the non-violence movement and the 50th anniversary of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr’s death. The keynote speaker for the evening was Mrs. Naomi Ruth King. She is the sister-in-law to Dr. King and wife of Rev. A.D. King. Mrs. King also signed copies of her book “A.D. and M.L. King: Two Brothers Who Dared to Dream.”

Waubonsie Vs. Benet Boys Volleyball
Even though it was a beautiful evening last night, some spring sports still took place indoors, which is where we found the Benet Academy at Waubonsie Valley boys volleyball match. It was a back and fourth game throughout the first and second sets. Benet would win the first set 25-18, but Waubonsie would get some momentum in the second set and get the victory by the skin of their teeth, 26-24. But in the third set, Benet wasn’t messing around and cleaned it up nicely, 25-14 for the match victory.
