Last night, school districts 203 and 204 joined 360 Youth Services to present Vaping 101: What Parents Need to Know. The speakers discussed the trend in vaping with youth and suggested how to talk to teens about it. Many teens view vaping as harmless as some vapes can come nicotine-free, but studies show that even vapes that are, still contain many harmful chemicals. The next Vaping 101 discussion will be held on March 21 at Metea Valley High School.

Golf Courses Open
Golf courses are now open for the season. Golfers have already been taking to the green since yesterday, at Springbrook and Naperbrook Golf Courses. Both courses will have off-season green fees in effect through March 30.
Girls Indoor DVC Track
Naperville North hosted the Girls Indoor DVC track meet last night at North Central College. The Huskies looked to repeat as conference champions, but with eight other teams in attendance, it was anyones race. Naperville Central held their own in the field events thanks to Tikia Harris rocking out a 5’ 2” high jump, securing first place. Hitting the track, Neuqua Valley’s McKenna Robinson wasn’t letting North walk away with the title too easily. It was an all out foot race in the 800 meter against Robinson and North’s Claire Hill. The Huskie would grab it by just .02 seconds! In the end though, North’s strong program would reign true as they grabbed first place in many events such as the 55-meter hurdles, the 3200 meter race and the 200 meter. They walk away as conference champions with Naperville Central in second place. It’s the boys turn tonight as they run for the conference title at North Central. Field events start at 4:30.
