High School Late Start

At last night’s District 203 Board of Education meeting, the board approved a once a week late start for all 203 high school students. Taking effect in the coming school year, students at Naperville Central and North will begin classes at 9 a.m. on Wednesdays, and continue to start at 7:45 a.m. the other days of the week. However, teachers will still arrive at the earlier time on Wednesdays and use the extra hour without students for weekly collaboration.

Lacrosse in 204

After several weeks of petitioning by the community, District 204’s board held a discussion on the possibility of sanctioning lacrosse as an official sport at their meeting last night. In order to participate in the official IHSA series, the sport will need to be sanctioned by the district. While all of the board members expressed support in sanctioning, concerns were raised about the financial and logistical viability, as well as the impact it would have on other district sports. There was no vote, but the district will continue to investigate the issue.

Tomorrow night at 5 p.m. the new Mexican restaurant Quiubo will be opening up for dinner. Located on Water Street in Downtown Naperville, the restaurant features colorful murals, intricate décor and of course a menu full of Mexican favorites. In this soft open phase, the restaurant anticipates being open for dinner the first few days, and then expanding to lunch, you can check their Facebook or website for updates.

NNHS Boys Basketball
