District 203 Candidates
Last night the Naperville Area Homeowners Confederation hosted a candidate forum for those seeking a place on the District 203 Board of Education. Two Individuals are running for one available two-year term, and five individuals are vying for four available seats, which will be four-year terms. All of these candidates will appear on the April 4 ballot.
Policing in Naperville
Tomorrow night the League of Women Voters will host a public forum on “Policing in Naperville.” Taking place at 7 p.m. in the Naperville Municipal Center, the forum will include panelists like Naperville Police Chief Bob Marshall, the President of the DuPage County NAACP and leaders from other community groups. This discussion is free and open to the public.
Aurelio’s Pizza at Springbrook Square is hosting a Guest Bartending event benefiting Loaves and Fishes tomorrow night. From 6 to 9 p.m. guest bartenders like 95.9 The River’s Danielle Tufano, Arranmore Art’s Shannon Greene Robb and Lisa Gangi, host of NCTV’s 630 Naperville will concoct drinks, while collecting tips and money for Loaves and Fishes.
It was a big weekend for Neuqua Valley hockey. The Wildcats swept rival Waubonsie in the Illinois West semi finals two games to nothing. Neuqua will face Oak Park River Forest in the Conference Finals starting on Saturday. Last night, Neuqua faced off with Warren in the first round of the Blackhawk Cup. The Wildcats stayed red hot, advancing to the 2nd round after a 4-0 victory. Their next Blackhawk Cup game will be Friday, March 3.
