This morning, school districts 203, 204 and 200 joined together at Naperville North High School for the fourth annual legislative breakfast. Superintendents Dan Bridges, Karen Sullivan and Jeff Schuler led discussions with local legislators and school board members. One topic that was discussed was the number of days students need to be in attendance, as they are looking for flexibility in school schedules. Members also showed interest in wanting the ability to have learning days, which would be for students to engage at home in case of extreme cold and snow days.
A.D.O.P.T. Pet Shelter Needs Help
The cold weather damaged the heating and plumbing of lots of Naperville establishments, including A.D.O.P.T. Pet Shelter. Furnaces and pipes at the shelter broke, causing thousands of dollars of damage to the facility. Luckily, none of the areas housing animals were affected, but the shelter is still in disrepair.
