Naperville Knights Show Respect

The Naperville Knights Youth Football League emphasizes the importance of respect both on, and off the field.

Something one of their Featherweight teams took to heart and put into action this past week when they played a game in Fox Lake, the hometown of fallen Police Lieutenant Joe Gliniewicz.

“We got them together and we talked about the best approach, and our game uniforms are red, we took black jerseys as well as blue ones in honor of the police department, we turned them inside out, and wore them along with a Navy Blue stripe across the front of the boys helmet out of remembrance for Officer Gliniewicz,” said John Reilly, head coach for one of the Knight’s Featherweight teams.

The team has also dedicated the remainder of their season to Officer Gliniewicz.
