The Jaycees held the Distinguished Service Awards at Meson Sabika to recognize members of the community, businesses and students who stand out in what they do.
“Distinguished service can mean a number of different things, we live in a very blessed community, that’s very fortunate, lots of amazing things happen everyday, it’s an opportunity to take a minute and thank the citizens who make Naperville the best it can be,” said Chad Pedigo, President of the Naperville Jaycees.
Those recognized included student volunteer Angie Lee, public employee Omar Sandoval, community leader John Norman, local business Dark Horse Pastries, educator Julie Carlsen and healthcare employee HCR ManorCare.
This year’s not-for-profit winner was Little Friends and the Charles “Chuck” Bueche Lifetime Achievement award went to Pam Davis.
The Naperville Jaycees are dedicated to philanthropy and volunteerism.
