Lights, camera, action – it’s time again for the Naperville Independent Film Festival.
This is the eighth year for the festival, which is bigger than ever before.
“This has been the best year, we have screened over 240 movies and have picked 71. So its a good average,” said founder Edmond Coisson.
Films this year include, documentaries, comedies, dramas and even a horror film.
You can catch the premiere night celebrations of all the films from September 12 -19 at the AMC theater on Route 59 and 95th Street.
But if you miss a premiere night you can still check out this year’s submissions at their other locations, North Central College and Hollywood Boulevard.
This year the festival is hosting a panel of industry professionals to help filmmakers get their movies to that next level, and will offer IMDB accreditation to award winners.
“That is our goal every year, to help the filmmakers. People will ask ‘who’s coming this year, who are the star’s?’ and I always tell them – our filmmakers are the stars,” said founder Glessna Coisson.
