The Naperville Park District hosts a popular summer series, “Children’s Lunch Hour Entertainment.”
Miss Jamie from the Farm, a children’s country singer and actress who performs skits, was brought in for a recent show. The kids in the audience had a great time singing and dancing along with her.
The Tuesday lunchtime shows all feature children’s performers like Miss Jamie, who use audience participation to get kids involved in the act.
“Being able to provide community events is a big part of what we do,” said Brett Lindahl, Naperville Park District’s Partner Relations Manager. “Engagement with the community and offering something to get them out of the house on beautiful summer days like this is just a part of who we are and what we do.”
The shows take place in Frontier Park and the Riverwalk Grand Pavilion in Naperville, and they are all free. Bring your chairs, blankets, and coolers to have a picnic in the park and enjoy the show.
