Downtown Naperville transformed into a strolling art gallery to help residents recognize the culture of true art.
More than 30 local businesses displayed artwork from regional artists both new and experienced at the Downtown Naperville Alliance’s first annual Suburban Art Walk.
The free event allowed visitors to view paintings, photographs, and structures.
At Paper Source, teenage artist David Willett displayed his masterpiece, which he made entirely out of paper.
Laura Lein-Svencer’s painting was crowed the best in show, and received $500 for first place
“This has surpassed my wildest expectations. People love art in this community, and we have so many fabulous artists here in the western suburbs,” said Katie Wood, Executive Director of the Downtown Naperville Alliance.
$250 was awarded to Kristopher Wright for second place, while Rosie and Dave Claus received $100 gift card to downtown Naperville for third place.
