The construction of a new controversial medical building has started down town.
Crews broke ground on a fertility clinic at the corner of Washington and Benton.
Called “The Naperville Family-Building Center”, it will offer in-vitro fertilization, fertility medications and surgeries, and insemination.
Dr. Randy Morris, a fertility specialist, petitioned for the property in March and the City Council approved his proposal at their April third meeting, despite public outcry over religious and ethical concerns.
Dr. Morris says the construction should take about eleven months to complete and hopes to have it soon after.
