Walkers laced up their shoes for the 33rd Annual CROP Hunger Walk at Grace United Methodist Church, all to raise money for a good cause.
“The money will go toward the Naperville Loaves and Fishes Community Service, The Northern Illinois Food Bank and Church World Service which is an ecumenical agency that around the world helps with development and care for refugees which is a huge need right now,” Coordinator of the walk, Lynn Pries.
Nearly 500 people joined in on the walk, while others put together food packets, which will be passed out to families in need.
Last year the walk raised just over $49,000 and they’re hoping to have reached $55,000 this year.
