West Nile Virus has made its way to Naperville.
Mosquitoes found in traps at Springhill Park and Seager Park have tested positive for the virus.
Positive reportable results are defined as at least two instances in one location. This hasn’t happened yet, but the park district wanted to notify residents to take precautions.
If you’re going to be outdoors, remember to wear bug spray, and spray your clothes because mosquitoes can bite through them. Also try to wear sleeves and pants when possible, and avoid having standing water around your home.
The park district is retreating the areas that tested positive and will retest them this week.
