Kids at the Morton Arboretum are soaking up the experience of what it’s like to be a plant.
That’s because of a giant new addition to the children’s garden there, a huge watering can that acts as a water mister.
The nine foot tall watering can keeps kids cool as they explore all that the children’s garden has to offer, as well as teaching them a lesson on gardening.
“We wanted to get that idea of plants need water to thrive, to grow, and so we thought a watering can would be the best way to do that. So we hope kids are out in their garden helping mom and dad water the garden,” said Laura Kamedulski, Youth and Family Programs Coordinator at the Morton Arboretum.
The watering can mister is active from Memorial Day to Labor Day weekend.
