On May 26th, Metea Valley High School graduated its second class since opening its doors.
On the campus of Northern Illinois University, 631 seniors graduated. Of those students, 95% plan to attend college and ten were National Merit Finalists.
The top choice for college among the class is the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
Student speakers were Lauren Lisauskas and Eric Zhang.
Athlete of the Year went to Anna Petersen and the Metea LIFE Award went to Jessica Ngoie, Enrique Rodriquez, Jake Kearley, and Kelsey Chin.
The class gave the school a statue of a Mustang, the MVHS mascot, for the school’s courtyard.
