Mayor Steve Chirico led the event at the Fry Family YMCA, which featured holiday music and inspirational speeches.
This year’s keynote speaker was Michael Vickery, executive director of Institute For Community.
“All of you sitting out here, leaders in the Naperville community, you were all kids either at YMCA or other non-profit organizations and there were people that had influence over your life when you were younger, so the investment that we have in our youth today will pay off for generations to come,” said Vickery.
The Maloney family of Naperville also shared their stories of 12 years in the YMCA Adventure Guides Program and how the experience continues to shape their lives.
Other highlights included musical performances by the School of Performing Arts and Soloist Tyra Jenkins, a senior at Waubonsie Valley High School.
All proceeds from the event go back to theYMCA.
