Knoch Knolls Welcomes New Residents

An eastern box turtle, an American toad and a western fox snake are all new residents at the nature center for visitors to enjoy.

“Since we are a nature center, we wanted to do a better job of representing the ecology and the community outside our walls, so we’ve got these three different native species here to help illustrate what sort of animals people can find when they’re in the park,” said Sherly Hosler, Naturalist at the Knoch Knolls Nature Center.

The animals will share their home with fish in the 900 gallon tank located in the nature center.

Staff at the Nature Center also hope to welcome a salamander in the near future.
