One organization recently gave local students the opportunity to give back.
KidsMatter recently held their 10th annual Volunteer Fair at the Naperville Municipal Center.
Students from 6th through 12th grade, and their families, could learn about different opportunities to volunteer with many groups throughout the city.
“When parents serve together they are role models,” said IdaLynn Wenhold, the Executive Director of KidsMatter. “Their children see that helping other and positively impacting the lives of people, and doing things that count can be fun and so rewarding.”
28 different organizations were represented at the event including, 360 Youth Services, The DuPage Children’s Museum, and Feed My Starving Children.
Over 800 potential volunteers attended this year’s event.
